This is an exceptional opportunity to become a part of Coupang’s growth in Taiwan and create a world where our customers wonder, “How did I ever live without Coupang?” Role Overview The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees across Coupang Taiwan. This role partners closely with leadership teams to align people strategies with business objectives, drive organizational effectiveness, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with local labor regulations. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep HR expertise and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and data-driven environment. What You Will Do Strategic Business Partnership Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies aligned with organizational goals. Provide coaching and guidance to managers on leadership effectiveness, team performance, talent management, and organizational design. Act as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives. Utilize workforce analytics and HR data to provide insights and recommendations that drive business performance. Talent Management Support talent planning, performance management, and employee development processes. Partner with Recruiting teams to identify critical talent needs and drive hiring strategies. Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions. Identify high-potential talent and support leadership development initiatives. Employee Relations & Engagement Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters. Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on employee concerns, workplace issues, and policy interpretation. Drive employee engagement activities and culture-building initiatives. Support change management efforts during organizational growth and transformation. Performance & Organizational Effectiveness Guide managers through performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, development planning, and performance improvement. Partner with leaders on organizational structure, team effectiveness, and productivity initiatives. Support workforce optimization and organizational change projects. Compensation & Rewards Collaborate with Total Rewards teams on compensation reviews, market benchmarking, and annual reward processes. Provide guidance on pay decisions, promotions, retention strategies, and recognition programs. Compliance & HR Operations Ensure compliance with Taiwan labor laws and employment regulations. Partner with legal and compliance teams on employment-related matters. Support policy development, implementation, and communication. Promote consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champion an inclusive workplace culture. Partner with leadership to develop and implement DE&I initiatives that foster belonging and employee engagement. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field. 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years as an HR Business Partner supporting business leaders. Strong knowledge of Taiwan labor laws and employment practices. Experience supporting fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-oriented organizations. Proven experience managing employee relations and organizational change initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Ability to analyze data and translate insights into business recommendations. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and business-level English.
