Director / VP of Marketing (m/f/d)
Flip
About this role
EMPOWER EVERY EMPLOYEE.
AI has changed how office workers get things done. For the 80% of the global workforce that doesn't sit at a desk, it has barely arrived. Flip is changing that.
Flip is the #1 Frontline Agentic Operating System (OS) to build, automate and orchestrate any frontline use case on a foundation of secure identity and comms with strong UX. In practice, that means one app where frontline workers in retail, manufacturing and logistics access their systems, run their processes, and use AI.
More than 1,000 brands trust Flip, and over two million people use it worldwide, at companies like Bosch, REWE, FORVIA HELLA, and Greif.
Our mission is backed by more than $85M in funding from leading investors including Notion Capital, HV Capital, and LEA Partners. In August 2026, Notion Capital and HV Capital doubled down on Flip with a new $25M round.
Our mission: Connect every employee to everything they need in one touch.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Help take Flip's brand and growth engine from strong to standout. Marketing is already one of our strongest growth channels, and we're ready to invest in a Director / VP Marketing to lead our entire Marketing team into our next phase of growth. You lead 10+ people across events, digital, content and design, working closely with our leadership team. Your two big levers: turning inbound into the fastest-growing source of new business, and building a brand people genuinely notice in a category where most companies look and sound the same. This role suits a leader who has built a brand-led growth engine before, brings both taste and numbers, and wants to shape a category that is still being defined, whether you come from B2B SaaS, DTC and e-commerce, consumer tech, B2B2C or PLG.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Scaling a brand and community that drives pipeline
- A brand people notice in a category where most companies look and sound the same: human, employee- and customer-led, across social, video, website and events
- Community and advocacy as growth channels: founder and employee voices, customers on stage, a creative rhythm that keeps the work fast, distinctive and measurable
- Inbound as the fastest-growing source of new business, scaled together with our Digital team: website conversion, paid media, SEO and GEO, email nurture
- One weekly funnel review built around SAO and cost per SAO, so Marketing is measured on pipeline, not MQLs
Team & operating rhythm
- Leading three Heads and several senior ICs, and owning hiring and development as the team grows
- A two-week sprint cadence and a weekly performance rhythm that the team owns
- Representing Marketing in the leadership team and to investors, and shaping the marketing plan together with them
Pipeline, alongside Sales
- Close partnership with Sales, BDR and RevOps on pipeline quality: SAO gate discipline, attribution governance and CRM hygiene
International growth
- Marketing for our US expansion together with our international GTM lead
- Preparing the funnel for product-led elements as our product evolves
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Must-haves
- A brand-led growth engine you have built, where brand, creative and performance worked together, with growth in inbound, organic or direct demand you can show and numbers you can defend
- Creative velocity: fast, human, distinctive content and social work such as employee, founder or customer-led video, community, advocacy and weekly testing. Work that stood out, not campaigns that merely ran
- Performance and funnel discipline: end-to-end ownership of paid media and website conversion, CAC and cost-per-outcome thinking, CRO, tracking and attribution literacy, and agencies managed against clear performance criteria
- At least 3 years leading a marketing or growth function with budget ownership, including managing managers and an operating cadence you installed that ran on its own
- English C1 or above and German B2 or above (C1 a plus), as most of our team and our largest market are German-speaking
- AI-native ways of working across content, design and analysis
- Willingness to travel to the HQ in Stuttgart (10–30%)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with a considered-purchase or sales-assisted motion, for example B2B2C, prosumer SaaS, high-ticket DTC or fintech
- Experience building or contributing to a self-serve or product-led funnel
- Familiarity with German enterprise buyers, HR, Operations, IT or Internal Communications decision makers, or frontline industries
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
- A real mandate: Ownership of brand and growth for an entire company, seven-figure budget responsibility, as part of the leadership team.
- Work mode: We're remote-first, giving you flexibility to work from home. At the same time, we deeply value in-person collaboration, which for this role means regular presence in our Stuttgart office, always with plenty of notice.
- AI is how we work: Access to frontier AI tools is standard here, not something you request. We actively encourage heavy use across content, design, analysis and reporting.
- Work-Life-Balance: We don't want you to grow roots to your desk chair. That's why we cover the costs of your E-Gym-Wellpass membership and offer job bike leasing.
- A team you'll actually meet: The whole company gets together twice a year (e.g. Stuttgart & Barcelona 2026), plus regular team events and culture days.
- Working abroad: At Flip you can also work abroad in the European Union. Let's talk about remote work in the interview.
At Flip, everyone is welcome - no matter what gender you identify as or how old you are. Sexual identity, origin, religion, world view and disabilities do not influence your potential job at Flip. The most important thing is that YOU fit in!
