Team Summary This role brings together three areas of expertise supporting next-generation HP commercial PCs and AI experiences: Senior Windows System Engineer Leads the design, implementation, validation, and optimization of robust and scalable Windows-based software systems for HP commercial PCs. This role focuses on system performance, reliability, integration, and delivering a high-quality customer experience across complex hardware and software environments. Senior Software Engineer, AI Networking Designs and develops Windows-based systems and networking infrastructure that support AI workloads. This role focuses on networking performance, system reliability, scalability, and seamless integration of AI software and services to deliver high-performing customer experiences. Senior Enterprise Manageability & Policy Engineer Leads the development of software and services that enable enterprise manageability of AI capabilities on Windows PCs. This role focuses on making AI software and services discoverable, measurable, transparent, and manageable across enterprise environments. Across these areas, the role partners closely with software developers, system administrators, product teams, project managers, and other engineering organizations to develop solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and deliver value to end users. The role provides technical leadership, drives the adoption of new technologies, and helps define validation strategies for new systems and capabilities. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, implementation, integration, testing, and maintenance of complex Windows-based software systems, AI workloads, networking infrastructure, and enterprise manageability solutions. Deliver system software and services that provide a reliable, performant, secure, and differentiated customer experience. Design and develop solutions that enable AI workloads and services on Windows PCs, with a focus on networking performance, system efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Develop enterprise manageability and policy capabilities that provide discoverable, transparent measurement and control of AI software and services on Windows PCs. Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, AI applications, networking components, and system management tools. Monitor, measure, and analyze system and application performance to identify bottlenecks, reliability issues, and opportunities for optimization; partner with developers to implement solutions. Optimize software systems for performance, scalability, reliability, resource efficiency, and overall user experience. Define and gather system engineering requirements for infrastructure, networking, AI, manageability, and policy components in partnership with engineering teams and key stakeholders. Lead multiple project teams through all stages of software system development, including architecture and solution design, analysis, coding, testing, validation, integration, and deployment. Develop and execute validation strategies and plans for new technologies, systems, and capabilities. Partner with internal engineering organizations and external development partners to drive software architecture, design, development, integration, and delivery. Build and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners to deliver complex software systems and platforms. Review and evaluate system designs and project activities for compliance with software development, systems engineering, quality, and performance standards. Provide actionable technical feedback to improve product quality, system reliability, and customer experience while mitigating failure risk. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership across cross-functional projects, programs, and initiatives. Drive innovation and the integration of emerging technologies, particularly in Windows systems, AI, networking, enterprise manageability, and policy management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer, business, and technical requirements into scalable software solutions. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to less-experienced engineers and team members. Education & Experience Recommended • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • 7+ years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field. Salary: $154,400 - $227,750 Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees) The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
