Marketing Manager
Takt
About this role
Takt builds warehouse intelligence software for some of the largest warehouse, distribution, and logistics organizations in North America. We bring labor, automation, and robotics data into one place so supervisors and operations leaders can see where a shift is going while there's still time to change it. Takt runs in more than 90 warehouses for retailers, brands, and 3PLs, including Kenco, ODW Logistics, Macy's, and Flexport. In August 2026 we raised a $9.2M Series A led by Ballast Point Partners, and we're now expanding into EMEA and APAC.
We're hiring a Marketing Manager to shape Takt's market presence and make sure supply chain leaders understand who we are, what we offer, and why it matters to their operations. You'll report to Alex Pankhurst, our acting Chief Revenue Officer, and work closely with Sales, Product, and Takt's founders.
This is a broad, hands-on role spanning campaigns, events, social media, content, and brand. You will plan and run the programs that build awareness and generate pipeline, from multi-touch campaigns aimed at warehouse and logistics leaders, to trade shows and customer events, to the day-to-day voice of Takt on LinkedIn and beyond. The right person is just as happy mapping out a quarterly campaign plan as writing the LinkedIn post that kicks it off. You'd enjoy locking in a booth at a major supply chain show, and you'd take pride in getting the follow-up emails out the next morning.
Ownership is the core of this job. You'll own the results of the programs you run, not just the tasks. You'll decide which shows we attend, which agencies and freelancers we bring in, and what to change in our tools. In return, we expect you to follow through without being chased and to tell us plainly what worked and what didn't.
You won't start from zero: paid search and webinars are already running, and we have customer results worth telling. In your first year, events and campaigns come first. Social, content, and brand matter too, and you'll build them up alongside.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
CAMPAIGNS & DEMAND GENERATION
- Plan, launch, and run integrated campaigns (email, paid, social, content, and outbound support) targeting operations, supply chain, and warehouse leaders at retailers, e-commerce brands, and 3PLs.
- Manage paid search and SEO with our tools and partners. Keep what works and cut what doesn't.
- Partner with Sales to align campaigns with target accounts, pipeline goals, and outbound motions.
- Own campaign execution in HubSpot and Loops, including segmentation, nurture sequences, landing pages, and reporting.
- Track performance from first touch to pipeline, and report monthly on spend and what marketing contributed.
EVENTS
- Own Takt's event calendar and decide which shows are worth the investment, including industry trade shows, conferences, webinars, and customer or prospect events.
- Manage event logistics end to end: budgets, booths, collateral, staffing, meeting scheduling, and post-event follow-up.
- Tie every event to outcomes: meetings booked, pipeline created, and relationships strengthened.
SOCIAL & BRAND
- Own Takt's social presence, with LinkedIn as the priority channel, including the content calendar, publishing in Buffer, and engagement.
- Help leadership and team members build their own voice and presence on social.
- Keep Takt's messaging, visual identity, and tone consistent across the website, sales materials, and every channel.
CONTENT & CUSTOMER STORIES
- Create and manage content for warehouse and logistics leaders: blog posts, case studies, one-pagers, videos, and product launch materials.
- Work with customers to turn their results into case studies and references that help Sales close.
- Work with Product to translate new capabilities in Takt Labor Management (including Gamification, Engineered Labor Standards, and Analytics) and the Takt Integration Engine into clear, specific messaging.
- Support marketing for our first launches in EMEA and APAC.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Real ownership. You treat the results of your programs as your own, follow through without reminders, and would rather build the plan than wait for one.
- Typically 4–7 years in B2B marketing, ideally at a SaaS or technology company. We care more about what you've owned than how long you've been doing it.
- A track record of planning and executing campaigns that produced measurable pipeline and revenue.
- Hands-on experience running events and trade shows yourself, from planning and budget through follow-up.
- Strong writing skills and an instinct for what makes content worth reading, especially on LinkedIn.
- Experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform, and comfort with the data behind campaign performance.
- The ability to move easily between strategic and tactical work.
- Comfort working where some processes are well established and others still need to be invented.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience marketing to supply chain, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or operations audiences.
- Time spent in a warehouse, a distribution center, or at a 3PL.
- Experience at an early-stage or growth-stage company where you operated with a high degree of autonomy.
- Familiarity with the supply chain event circuit (e.g., MODEX/ProMat, Manifest, CSCMP, WERC).
- Experience with design and video tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe, or similar).
- You already use AI tools like Claude in your daily work.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
- Supply chain and warehouse leaders increasingly know who Takt is and what we do.
- Campaigns consistently generate qualified meetings and pipeline for Sales.
- Events produce measurable outcomes and are followed up quickly and effectively.
- Takt's social presence grows in reach, engagement, and relevance to our audience.
- Sales has the content, stories, and materials it needs to win.
- Marketing processes become repeatable, measurable, and less dependent on company leadership handling them personally.
HOW WE WORK
We work from our Reston office Monday through Thursday and from home on Fridays. Tuesdays are flex days: the office is preferred, but we keep internal meetings to a minimum so there's room for focused work. Start and end times are flexible, and we keep team meetings mid-day. Expect roughly 15–20% travel, mostly around events.
Our marketing stack today is HubSpot, Loops, Buffer, and Claude. You'll have room to change it if something else works better.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $125,000–$150,000 base salary
- Paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision
- 401(k) with company match
HOW TO APPLY
Along with your resume, tell us in a few sentences about a program you owned end to end and what came of it.
OUR COMMITMENT TO INCLUSION
Ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace where we learn from each other is core to Takt's values. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer and supportive place to work. Takt will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations to participate in the interview process, perform essential job functions, and receive other benefits of employment.
