Lead Product Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead product design for a growing AI communications software company serving businesses across Europe. This hands-on leadership role combines product design, brand ownership, and team direction, working closely with product and engineering to improve customer experiences across multiple product areas.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own design across product, brand, and the design team while remaining hands-on in day-to-day work.

• Design product experiences, run customer interviews, and develop the brand.

• Partner with product and engineering on three product areas, supporting quick decisions and frequent feedback.

• Lead designers working across the website, brand, and product.

• Build customer understanding through regular conversations with small-business users.

• Set and maintain design standards and scale design systems across product areas.

• Use customer insights and product analytics to evaluate design decisions and iterate.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least five years of end-to-end product design experience, with ownership across multiple product areas.

• Strong hands-on skills in Figma, prototyping, and user interviews.

• Experience leading a design team, or clear readiness to take on team responsibility while staying hands-on.

• Experience building and scaling design systems, with ownership spanning brand, website, and product design.

• An analytics-driven product mindset and experience using modern AI tools such as Cursor, v0, or Claude to accelerate design work.

• Native-level German and professional English.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: €80,000 to €150,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

On-site in Vienna, Austria.
